Description: WWII Era USMC Marine Corps MIL-K Folding Utility or Pocket Knife - Nice Condition Up for sale is a WWII Era US Army MIL-K Folding Utility or Pocket Knife. This is a four blade folding utility pocket knife. The blade shows some evidence of sharpening. The "can opener" blade is broken at the tip, see photo. The blades all "snap" into place when closing. The springs are intact, no crack or breaks in the springs. The clevis loop is still present. There are no manufacturer dates or names. The "US Marine Corps" on the front is still clear, see photo. This knife is used, please see photo's for condition. WWII Vintage Mil-K Knives are getting increasingly difficult to find. The WWII vintage knives differed from the more common Vietnam Era knives, by having Carbon Steel blades and springs and brass liners between the springs. Some were marked on the clevis loop rather than on the blades. Please see M.H. Coles book "The Best of US Military Knives, Bayonets and Machetes" page #184.
