Flag is identified to the town of Neheim and features an incredible Prussian Imperial eagle and a superb embroidered crown with bullion bulbs backed by a rich orange medallion background flaked by a lovely set of multicolored wreaths on one side. The Imperial eagle has an incredible bullion crown and clutched lightning bolts and sword in its talons further complimenting the symbolic eagle. A quality vivid blue obverse with a figure atop presumably the 116th Infantry Regiment memorial. Memorial reads " Vorwarts Aufwarts " which translates to Forward Up. Memorial is surrounded by a fantastic canopy of multicolored blend of wreaths with acorns and other complimentary accents. Piece is further complimented by a complete set of gold bullion fringe on 3 sides with complete original set of hooks.Condition: Good, some minor signs of wear, damage, stains, but given how this is silk, there is expected splitting, deterioration and fraying.Approx Measurements:44 1/2" by 49" with a 2" fringe About Me: Like most, I picked up the collecting bug many years ago when I was younger rummaging through the nooks and crannies of my grandparent's summer house in upstate New York.
