Description: PLEASE READ & SEE PHOTOS FOR SPECIFICS ON CARD CONDITION, GRADING, and/or AUTOGRAPHS This special feature collection is primarily showcasing two legendary football players: Walter Payton (Topps # 148 Rookie Card) of the Chicago Bears estimated in NM or better condition, and several John Dutton cards of the Baltimore Colts that include his 1975 PSA 8 NM-MT graded Rookie Card (Topps # 501), Dutton autographs on Topps cards from 1975 thru 1979, 10 one-of-a-kind Dutton Topps progressive production proofs, and a very rare copy of Guernsey's Auction Book from the famous Topps Vault Auction conducted in 1989 in New York City where many production materials and other items used by Topps (such as these Dutton proofs) were made available to the public for the first time. All card conditions, unless otherwise stated, are ungraded and in the condition as seen in the photos. The purchaser of this collection will receive exactly everything that is in the listing photos and in the condition photographed. This is what is included in this historical bundle: 1.) 1976 Topps Walter Payton Rookie Card # 148 ungraded. It was recently reviewed by PSA through the eBay Authenticity Guarantee process and remains in the package sent directly from PSA. The seal on the back of the card sleeve has a QR code to scan for confirmation. Its condition has been noted as "Ungraded - Near mint or better" (see photo of QR scan screenshot in this listing or scan it yourself). 2.) John Dutton 1975 Topps Rookie Card encased and graded by PSA 8 NM-MT. If you are unfamiliar with Dutton, look up his stats and All-Pro history; he was also a great college player for the Cornhusker's. 3.) John Dutton 1975 Topps ungraded Rookie Card autographed and stored in a one touch plastic case. Condition as seen in photos. 4.) John Dutton 1976 Topps ungraded card stored in a one touch plastic case. Condition as seen in photos. 5.) John Dutton 1976 Topps 10-card set of progressive proofs encased by ACU-Cards, Inc, Condition as seen in photos. Note: The proofs are numbered 1 thru 10 and each color (or colors) is/are listed on the ACU label. Please note the back of the cards are blank and proof # 9 has a crack on the upper left-hand edge internally, but no plastic is missing on the side of the case. This can be somewhat seen in the individual photo of this card. There is no apparent damage to the card itself. The cases are in overall good condition with a few minor nicks or scratches from being handled over the years. Due to limitations on the number of photos I can use in the listing, I only included one photo of the back of proof # 1, so you can visualize the blank back. All 9 other proofs are representative of this one blank back photo shown. I will be glad to email additional photos of anything upon request. There are some proof sets available on eBay, but very few are encased. Encasing has prevented damage to the cards from handling, humidity, corner damage, wear, etc. It is amazing that these cards will be 50 years old in just a little over a year! 6.) John Dutton ungraded autographed Topps cards from 1976 to 1979, each in one touch plastic cases. Condition as seen in photos. 7.) And then for last, a very rare copy of the New York Guernsey's famous 1989 Topps' auction catalog/booklet. There are a few bends on the lower right corner when viewing from the front and the same on the reverse back location of the item, but overall, it is in good condition. I read this booklet from front to back and did not see any writing in the booklet, missing pages, tears, etc. I wish I could have included more photos of this 195 page masterpiece as it is remarkably informative, very interesting, contains both black and white and color photos, some history of notable players, and discusses several other products Topps manufactured. Please note this booklet is not only confined to football; it contains and discusses several other items that Topps produced including, but not limited to, baseball, basketball, hockey and other non-sports cards or items such as Star Wars, Raiders of the Lost Ark, and others. It certainly takes you back a few years if you grew up collecting cards in the 1970's as I did. It is worth it alone to have this piece of rare history for just a good read.
