Vintage Wooden Jewelry Box; Mahogany W/Hunter Green Velvet Int; Brass Hardware

Description: This beautiful large jewelry box is made of all wood with a dark rich mahogany stain applied. The body of the jewelry box has a slight bowed design and there are multiple rows of beveling all along the edge of the lid and bottom of the jewelry box. A locking mechanism is on the center top of the jewelry box with a decorative antique brass piece around it but there is no working key. An antique brass pull with hardware is attached to the center of the lid which opens to an interior completely lined in a dark hunter green colored velvet material. There is a 10” long by 5” wide wooden removable compartment lined in the same dark hunter green colored velvet that sits in the top of the interior with four divided sections for different pieces of jewelry and six rolled and tufted sections on one end for rings. The jewelry box is heavy at just under 4 lbs and the dimensions are 12” long, 7” wide and 6 1/4” high. The interior bottom of the jewelry box is 4 1/4” deep. The jewelry box is from the 1980’s and it is in wonderful vintage condition. From age there are a few slight faint markings on the lid top and sides and also on the edges of the jewelry box. There are no cracks, deep chips or scratches anywhere on the exterior of the jewelry box. The interior of the box is also in very good condition with only expected markings in the velvet from age. There are no tears, rips, holes, cracks or stains in any of the interior sections. See all photos.
