Stewart MFG Co. was designed to aid in the calculation of shipping costs for mailing a parcel, sorted by distance. When rotating one of the dials on either end of the device, the numbers within the calculator change and display shipping costs based on distance. For local distances, the rates are calculated for packages weighing 1-50 pounds. The device also calculates shipping rates for parcels weighing 1-20 pounds being shipped to zones 1-8, each representing a different distance measured in miles. This item is in good condition with no chips, cracks, or repairs made. The rotating number wheel within the device has light discoloration but still rotates smoothly.
