Description: Plastic, red, Metzger's dairy milk crate from the San Antonio plant. Metzgers was purchased by Borden's in the early 1980's and the Metzger's name went away after that. I believe this crate to be produced in January of 1973 due to the 1 and 73 on each side of the San Antonio name. Used crate that shows some wear and tear, but overall is in good shape and great for display. Of note some very small paint splatters on one side. Hardly noticeable but present if you look for them. Also, the handle on one side has been damaged/roughed up (pictured). Still a great very rarely seen crate for anyone's collection.
