Description: Vintage Machinist Ruler 3" ~ THINBIT Kaiser Tool Company Promotional item Looks like the company probably made these themselves.Notice the edges are not precisely cut with some extra material remaining. Made before 1982, as in 1982 the company moved locations and was no longer in Fort Wayne. Kaiser Tool Company was founded in 1964 with the purpose of supplying small lathe cutting tools that were not available as standard, in-stock items. Today, our line of THINBITยฎ cutting tools includes more than 100,000 in-stock tools for grooving, threading, parting, boring and turning as well as custom tools. Fifty-five years is a long time for any company and is particularly amazing for a small manufacturing company. The idea of THINBITยฎgrooving tools, its start in a garage and attic and its subsequent growth to where it is today is a wonderful story โ one that speaks of the tenacity of its founders, William and Hazel Kaiser, and the hard work and resilience of its people throughout these past fifty-five years. The first production of Thinbit was done at the home of William and Hazel Kaiser in Fort Wayne, Indiana. Manufacturing was done in the garage, employees used the bathroom and kitchen of the house, and the sales office was in the attic.
