Description: This item is a vintage letter press printer block of a hand/finger which would point to an overdue amount on a bill or invoice. The block is a copper relief oak block which appears to be lightly used and does show some usage evidenced by the dark ink color. The copper hand/printing relief is very sharp and shows nicely through the dark back ground. Although the block is likely over 60 years old, the copper image is very sharp. The copper image is attached to the block with four nails which have loosened somewhat, so the image plate is slightly loose. Age and manufacturer are unknown. The block measures 2 1/8" in length, 1" wide, and 7/8" in height.The item has some markings consistent with use and age and as it was when acquired/discovered.
