Description: Quick Note: I've put together a great personal collection of vintage computers but it's time to pare it down a bit. There aren't enough hours in the day to tackle as many projects as I'd like. I'll be listing multiple machines and would love to see them go from one enthusiast's collection to another. Description: This auction is for a vintage Laser 128 desktop computer (Apple II clone). This is the base model, and not the EX or EX2. It comes included with an external 5 1/4" floppy drive. I wish I had more to say, but I'm not a fan of using AI to create filler text. It's a cool computer, and along with Franklin made for some clone-based competition for the Apple II, IIc, and IIe. For more information about the Laser 128, Wikipedia has a pretty good entry here:https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Laser_128 You will receive:1 Laser 128 computer1 External Laser 5 1/4" floppy drive 1 Laser 128 power brick1 Generic RCA cable for video output NOTE: The monitor is not included and is shown for testing purposes only. All photos in this listing are of the actual item(s) for sale. There are no stock photos or images sourced from anywhere else. What you see is exactly what is being offered. Condition:This system is in decent shape, especially for a computer nearly 40 years old. There is noticable yellowing of the plastic case, as is common. Some of the keys are not very responsive but the keyboard does look to be functional. It is possible that normal usage and/or a good cleaning will loosen them up, but that is only a guess at this point. I have tested the system, gone through multiple boot cycles, and loaded up a program from disk. I've included pictures for illustration. I have not had the time to test a wide array of programs, however. If you have any questions about the system, please inquire prior to purchasing. I will do my best to answer them as completely as possible. Shipping Times:We follow eBay's requirements, and items will ship out on the day that payment is received or on the next business day if payment is received (1) over the weekend or (2) at any other time when the selected shipping service is not accepting items for shipment (i.e. after the end of business day local time). We will pack the system carefully with plenty of padding to ensure your purchase arrives safe and sound. If actual packing and shipping fees exceed eBay's estimate, we will cover the difference. You will not be expected to pay any additional costs beyond those calculated as part of your eBay bid/purchase. For local pickup: Items will not be packaged. Smaller peripherals and accessories will be placed in a paper or plastic bag so they are not loose. Pickup will be coordinated at an active public place during daylight hours only (ex. the local police station, public library, etc.). All communication will be done through eBay messages for both transparency and safety for both parties. Return Policy:Due to the age of vintage electronics, these items come with no guarantee of continued working condition or remaining working life. While we have made our best efforts to test and confirm working order prior to shipment, this purchase is technically for a "Parts Only" listing. Returns will not be accepted based on working condition or system performance. We are still bound by eBay's requirements, so returns will be accepted only if the items are not as described in the listing and shown in the associated images.
