Description: This is a beautiful 1950s vintage Kyugetsu doll in very interesting wooden case with a clear cover, item #116-1. Wooden box measures 7"x5"x3 3/4". Doll itself measures 4 7/8" tall. Box has some light shelf wear from 50 years of storage, but the doll is absolutely exquisite. This was purchased in the early to mid 1950s as a Birthday gift from my Grandfather to my Mom. He bought it in Japan during one of several trips he made when he was TDY to Yokota Air Force Base. It was probably purchased at the base PX, but I can't confirm that. Been in the family ever since.
