Description: Vintage Hopi Pottery - RARE - By JACKI LALOThis Hopi Vase measures approximately 5 1/4" x 6 3/4". I have not found records of a Jacki Lalo beyond this one pot. My husband loved to buy rare artists and this is definitely one that I have tried to find more info on without success. My guess is that this was a younger potter who may not have continued on, but that's only speculation. She used some unique techniques, again something that I feel was explorative. There are some stray painted areas, showing she was developing her skill. I especially love her hallmark on the bottom. PLEASE DO NOT BOTHER OFFERING HALF OF MY ASKING PRICE. And, if since this is a brand new listing, I doubt I'd accept less. (I might do it as a favor/sign of gratitude to my regulars if they buy it the first time I list it.) Sometimes, people offer more, sometimes, a little less. If I have wiggle room, I may negotiate, especially for repeat buyers. But I will NEVER accept a low-ball half-off offer. I price my pieces slightly above wholesale and below retail and often have a very small margin.
