It is a black and white houndstooth pattern with red checks on it. (see photos) I think it is a rayon blend dress. It dates between the 1930s and 40s, and it is just a fabulous dress with great movement! There are what I believe to be bakelite buttons down the front, in a lovely red rust color with red thread! This dress opens at the left waist with a small snap panel - this allows for more ease getting in to the dress, but still gives the appearance of a drawn in waist! ~~ Charming to hang in any vintage interior !! ~*~ ~ ~*~ ~*~ (dress 99) MEASUREMENTS : This charming textile measures approximately : Chest: 38 inchesWaist: 38 inches Shoulders: 12.5 inchesSleeves: 9 inchesLength : 42 inches CONDITION : This textile is in as found, unwashed condition with light storage dust. This dress has a hole on the right shoulder, and some ripping on the collar just above the first button. Truly a wonderful piece, but not without signs of time and use often inherent in these lovely textiles. 04/15/21
