Description: Vintage 1990 Edwin Meaders Cobalt Blue Small Vase Southern Folk Art Pottery Georgia Edwin Meaders (1921-2015) was from a long line of potters that dates to the late nineteenth century when family patriarch John M. Meaders opened his shop in 1893 in Mossy Creek in Northeast Georgia. Edwin, son of potters Arie & Cheever Meaders, was a grandson of John Meaders. Edwin was known for his green and cobalt blue ceramic roosters. This high-glazed mottled cobalt blue small vase is signed and dated on the underside by Meaders. Signature is incised and painted Edwin Meaders and dated 5-23-1990 (possibly 3-23). In good condition with a few minor imperfections. Please see separate condition section and enlarge photos.
