Description: This is an excellent example of a Craftsman 10 super premium and Heavy Duty 10 inch sweep ratcheting with reverse “Lion” Hand Drill Bit Brace. This brace is just the same as the Miller Falls Lion Brace No 772, but labeled and sold by Sears for their top of the line Craftsman brace, their best you could buy. This brace works great, as good as it did when new. It has the famous Lion chuck and Patented "Leland" Universal Jaws. Made In USA. Condition is fine and excellent and retains more than 90 percent if it’s original nickel plating. The Leland universal jaws work with older tapered auger bits as well as newer round and hex shank bits. The Leland patented jaws are the best ever put in a bit brace, period. This Lion ball bearing chuck makes tightening down on and loosening an auger bit much easier. The handles are Tropical hardwood, no cracks, breaks or repairs. Brace has been lubricated and Tested. My goal is to place as many of these high quality, made in the USA vintage hand tools back into the hands of today’s craftsmen. I would never “part out” a good tool just for the proceeds. If the tool I have acquired is serviceable I will put it into as good of condition it can be and sell to friends or on eBay.
