Description: Vintage AA (Automobile Association) Members badge c.1930-45. Chrome badge serial no. 44940J. In original condition the badge mounts from the bottom (see photos). This is the badge that was issued following the amalgamation of the AA with Motor Union, in 1911, and the logo is made up of AA and M. Badges were brass up to 1930 and then plated with chrome after. Evidently designed so the badge can be viewed from both sides and the wings are detailed on both sides the only difference being the serial number is stamped on one side and the AA ownership on the other.
