Description: For sale is an extremely rare channel Islands Barbed arrowhead from California. Most likely it was actually used as a dart point in conjunction with an atlatl ccording to archaeologists. Channel Island Bob points are a subcategory of the Vandenberg contracting stem assemblage. This example is 2 1/2" long and is made from Chert. Channel Islands Barbed points were in use from 1,000 BC to circa A.D. 1000 or later. Found in Southern California on private property between Santa Barbara and Malibu. This point is museum worthy, especially one of this length and will be a focal point of any collection! Thanks I'm advance for your bids and good luck!
