Description: This is a really awesome very very old gate marked cast iron Dutch oven. No lid. What you see is what you get It does appear to have a crack on the side of it that goes all the way through. That being said this is a very nice condition item. I have used it to cook ground beef in without a problem. It has been restored and refinished with multiple coats of flaxseed oil, this was done by me but I have used it since then to cook in it a couple of times. There is no noticeable movement in the crack when it is heated but given the age of the item I can't make air any guarantees. It is marked with a number six and has a bale handle.
