Description: This is a rare and charming, 2.5 inch high porcelain cup with the matching 5 inch saucer. I believe it is French in origin although it is unsigned, so I can’t say for sure. It is possibly English. The cup is hand-painted in delicate detail depicting a little boy, carrying a plant within a rural scene with the saucer continuing the same design. I believe the set dates to the 1800 Dash 1840 time period. Both pieces are in excellent condition.
