In 1959 Grosset used a promotion of offering a free volume # 2 when volume # 1 was purchased on several of their children's series. Since there was only one or sometimes two, printings, these copies with the overprinted dust jackets are quite scarce. Blue tweed boards are clean, though lightly toned and with minimal wear. Hinges are intact and binding is tight. Pages are clean, with mild toning. No ownership markings. The dust jacket has the overprint "This Volume Free With the Purchase of Tom Swift Jr.#1" stamped in silvery gray. There are small chips at front corners and top of spine. Flap folds have rubs. Rear and flap fold has minor brownish spotting. In new mylar. Overall Condition is Very Good / Very Good All my books are as described.
