Members of the Rumour also worked with Elvis Costello, Rachel Sweet, Nick Lowe & Dave Edmunds. A superb slice of rare new wave pub rock and a logical progression from their roots in Britain. According to the Stiff Story (by Bert Muirhead), the Rumour wanted to see if they could get a hit under another name because their previous two singles were largely ignored. They were hoping this one would be a hit and then they were planning to reveal the truth after it charted. Sadly it wasn't to be.
