Card covers. 28 pages. 16.5cm x 21.5cmThis magazine was the work of Andy Pittaway and Bernard Schofield and the tenet of the magazine was 'the gentle revolution', being primarily concerned with the environment and highlighting the rapidly disappearing cultural identity with the land (customs, skills, ceremonies and festivals). Acknowledgement's at the beginning of the magazine thank a 'Betty'. Betty is Betty Swanwick and she had been Bernard Schofield’s tutor at Goldsmiths. Bernard paid tribute to Betty in an interview saying that they had wanted their magazine to be like a Samuel Palmer watercolour (an artist introduced to him by Swanwick) and that Betty had been a ‘huge influence’ on the development of the magazine and had also contributed illustrations to some of the magazines. It was a relatively short lived magazine, run on an absolute shoestring but was ahead of it’s time.The magazine is in good condition and pages are age toned.
