If your cutting plates are showing signs of wear and tear, place the die face up on a 1mm magnetic shim to hold in place while cutting - this will help you to position your dies exactly where you want to cut and will also give you the minimal additional pressure required to ensure a clean cut. Should the card stay in the die once cut, simply use a pokey tool to gently press through the release holes in the die to remove it.
