Description: I fell in love with this antique paper mache letter holder when I saw it in a local antique store. It has a lot of mother of pearl inlay (I believe) of flowers and leaves, and I especially like the little figure in the center. The figure appears to be dressed in Victorian garb and is holding something, but the inlaid shell is somewhat worn there so I cannot make it out. Please review all of the pictures for the details like little white/silver hand painted detail around the mother of pearl. This piece is approx. 8" wide to widest point, 8" tall to the tallest point, and 3" deep. The bottom boxed letter level is approx. 4" tall and 3 inches tall on the interior boxed portion and 7" wide. There is a chipped round piece of the leg on one side where wood is missing. This does not affect the stability of the piece. There is some surface wear on the back--sticker residue I did not remove. There is an area at the top I point out that looks worn and there is the typical wrinkling of the paper mache in the making. The mother of pearl looks yellowed in many places. Please review all of the pictures as part of the "as is" description. I will ship this insured the least expensive way offered to your home. This is lightweight but additional insurance adds to the shipping, which is fixed.
