Description: Squier Stratocaster MIJ 1987. Check out this awesome 1987 Made in Japan Stratocaster! These 80s Squier guitars were made in the Fujigen factory alongside their Fender-branded counterparts and share a lot of the characteristics that make these MIJ guitars famous among players. This guitar shows a fair amount of finish wear, with small dings present at the top, back and neck heel. The finish has been sanded down all over the body with a high grit sandpaper to take the gloss finish down to a smooth satin. It has a nice played-in feel that is similar to a relic’d guitar body. The original Fender knife-edge trem system is present and functional, as well as the original “Fender Japan” marked tuning machines. The micro-adjust bridge tuners and lock-down nut are not currently functional, and may be missing small parts. One tone knob appears to have been replaced as well. Thanks for viewing this guitar!
