Description: I’m unsure of the material used for this sculpture of St. Cecilia, but looks like alabaster. It’s a copy of a Baroque marble life size sculpture by Stefano Maderno, of St. Cecilia , the patron saint of music, in state of repose. It’s located in the Basilica of Cecilia, in Rome where St. Cecilia is buried. The base measures 7 3/8” long x 3” wide and does need a cleaning. I’m unsure if it’s hand carved or molded, but an interesting sculpture. SR
