Description: Granite pink / red sink. Well polished, oiled with linen oil. This sink is quite small, probably a good fit for a small bathroom / toilet where you are playing with very little space. Although, I've placed it at my place to make a photo and it looks okay size-wise. Granite forms from silica-rich magmas. It’s believed that granite can help your health, energy and overall situation. Granite is associated with abundance and protection. In my work I focus a lot on eco side of things. I try to have as little waste as possible, I give out the stone dust that I collect to members of local Permaculture community (which I am also a member of), they use it as a fertiliser or for composting. One critical difference of my work is that I mostly keep the stones the way they look on the outside, I don't use heavy chemistry or acids to clean out the rocks, only metal brushes. I don't use colour enhancements, don't use epoxy or combinations of glue to fill in microcracks. It’s not eco, but also makes the sink look ideal, manufactured so to say, and removes the nature aspect of it. So I only use a combination of specific flax seeds oil to cover the sink from the inside and make it look wet. Sometimes, if needed, I do fill a larger crack that’s native to the stone and wasn’t visible when picking it. I usually drill a bit broader hole so that I have some room for adjustment of the position of the sink + more comfortable to work on connecting the pipes from down below.5. Put some silicone if you want the sink to not move at all. Although, sinks are quite heavy so it’s hard to move them, silicone step can be avoided.6. Connect the pipes, the tap and bob’s your uncle.--Clean and Care: Care is pretty easy, you might need to re-oil the sink once in 3-5 years which is very easily done. Cloth + 3-5ml of linen/flax seeds oil, rub it in, remove the residue with a dry cloth. For cleaning, DO use a soft cloth, a sponge or a nylon brush. If you develop persistent stains, try a non-abrasive cleaner such as dishwasher soap. DO NOT use any acidic tub and tile cleaners, toilet bowl cleaners, ammonia, abrasive or soft paste cleaners, vinegar, alcohol, window cleaners or lemon juice.DO NOT use abrasive cleaning pads such as steel wool, metal brushes or scouring powders.
