Description: “EXCHANGING PINS”, 1972 SIGNED ORIGINAL LIMITED EDITION SERIGRAPH PRINT BY AMERICAN ARTIST AND PRINTMAKER LEROY NEIMAN (1921-2012) This limited edition color serigraph ( silkscreen print ), featuring Olympic athletes exchanging pins, is hand signed in pencil by the artist below the image right: LeRoy Neiman, numbered in pencil below the image left: 221/250, With screen printed inscription in the image lower left: XX Olympiad Olympic Village Aug 25 ’72 Munchen. The color serigraph is printed on heavy cream color wove paper. The image measures 11 1/4 x 16 3/4 inches. With full margins, the sheet size measures 16 x 20 inches. Date created: 1972. Reference: “The Prints of LEROY NEIMAN: A Catalogue Raisonne of Serigraphs, Lithographs and Etchings”. Catalogue raisonne number 28, illustrated on page 92. PLEASE NOTE CONDITION: There is evidence of light toning with a mat burn to the sheet (mat window open area), otherwise the serigraph is in good condition, with no evidences of any damage to the image. LeRoy Neiman was an American artist celebrated for his vividly colored, dynamic depictions of sports and leisure activities.
