Description: Scheibe-Alsbach Hand Painted Porcelain Figurine GARDE IMPERIALE by Kister Porzellan, Vintage German Porcelain Napoleon Soldier on Horse Collectible This is a vintage German porcelain figurine depicting (1663 – 1736) one of the military commanders in modern European history. The figurine is of superb quality as it was made by Kister, the famous German porcelain manufacturer from Scheibe-Alsbach, renowned for their good heavy weight hard-paste porcelain expertly hand painted with very fine details. Marked on the side with impressed number 6 and with a Kister Scheibe Alsbach dark green marking (letter S with two crossed lines), a mark which was used between 1925 and 1972. Stamped with a “dark green foreign” Countries imply marked their goods "foreign" between 1893 and 1923 meaning it was their export product, going outside their own country. Dimensions: height 29.21 cm (11.5 inches) width 19 cm (7.48 inches) depth 9.20 cm (3.62 inches) In excellent condition, with no chips, cracks or restorations. The colors are vivid and the golden accents are intact. This came from a private estate collection.
