Description: RUSTIC ANTIQUE HIRED HAND'S PATCHWORK QUILT This Rustic Antique HIRED HAND'S PATCHWORK QUILT is all machine pieced and hand tied and was made using assorted materials. The quilt measures 68 inches by 72 inches and is in good, well-loved antique condition with expected wear, stains and losses. There are numerous blowouts to the squares made from silk-like fabrics (please see photos). There are significant areas of fading to the quilt's backing and binding, which is turned over from the back and machine stitched. The quilt is tied and the batting is thin. This quilt is a survivor and would make a wonderful wall hanging in a rustic cabin or mountain retreat. The quilt comes from a private Alabama collection.
