Description: Description: Up for sale is a beautiful Royal Copenhagen Blue Flowers Braided Single (1) Small Teapot & Lid (#10 / 8122). At the time this listing was written, multiple place setting pieces, extra pieces, and many serving pieces were available in this pattern, so be sure and check out my many other lots! The small teapot & lid measures approximately 5.25” in height (3 cup capacity) and the pieces in the set are marked with the following backstamp: “Royal Copenhagen, Denmark, 10 / 8122,” in addition to the three blue line logo and the initials of the artist. The teapot & lid has a white/ivory base with blue floral (flowers) design and a braided, yet smooth design. Please note that the pieces are hand painted and each piece may display variations in the intensity of color or unique features/design. The pattern has been discontinued with the years of manufacture between 1780 and 2012. The teapot & lid is 2nd quality (mark through the Royal Copenhagen logo). The exact reason for the 2nd quality marking is unknown, though there is a pinpoint glazing imperfection on the body, and a slight imperfection to the hole on the lid which may be the cause for the 2nd quality marking. Condition: Overall, the teapot & lid is in great condition and looks to have been rarely used. The small teapot & lid was acquired as part of a much larger set with little history known; however, no major condition issues (chips, cracks, crazing) were noticed upon a thorough inspection. The piece may show extremely light utensil marks, light cleaning or storage scratches, or minor imperfections to the glaze and/or paint, but the piece looks only lightly used.
