Description: Rolex Explorer 1016; comes with paperwork for a service done in July 2024, and original domed crystal that was replaced during that service. The watch just returned from a $1,500 complete service last month, which included a movement overhaul, cleaning, bezel tightening, replacement of gaskets and crystal, and a pressure test (polish was declined). Currently running between +0 and +1 s/d dial up. It has a Mark 1 “frog foot” dial; lume is zinc sulfide / tritium mix that Rolex used for a brief period in the late 1960s and that exhibits “day glow” / “short glow” (the tritium is dead, but the zinc sulfide still reacts to strong UV light). The case is a 1.3M serial # that dates to 1966.
