Restored BBS RS005 021 5x120 Staggered 16" Wheels for BMW E24 E28 E34 M5 E30 M3

Description: BBS RS 16x8/7 FORGED 3-piece staggered alloys fully restored. BBS RS021 rear and RS005 front. All original parts. No aftermarket (except for 2 hex caps). 16x8 rear and 16x7 front, with an 11mm offset Original cost = $795+ each 30+ years ago. Lug spacing is 5 on 120mm. Center bore = 72.56mm Fully Restored. This included a chemical dip to remove all paint, followed verifying the wheels were true, and repairing some minor curb rash. Two of the wheels required no mechanical straightening. A front and a rear both had 2 fine cracks on the inner barrels even though both held air. These cracks were cleaned out, opened up, and welded to restore the integrity of each wheel. The last photo shows the weld marks. The outer lips and center cap hex nuts were mirror polished to a high luster shine, about as good as you will ever get out an aluminum surface. The entire wheel center (minus the mounting pad and mounting flanges - upper and lower), inner barrel (minus mounting flange), and center cap waffle plate were then powdercoated with a metallic gold resin (Prismatic Subtle Gold) that very closely matches the original BBS wheel paint color, followed by a clear powdercoat to provide a very thick and glossy durable finish without an orange peal surface texture. One small portion of the finish near a cap has a rippled texture, and I've included a close up of this spot. The center, barrel, and outer polished lip were then cleaned and prepared for assembly using chrome-plated original BBS rivets and zinc plated original nuts. The nuts were installed using medium strength Loctite thread locking compound, and then torqued to 18 ft-lbs. A band of silicone sealant was then applied to the outer circumference of the wheel sections to provide an effective seal. I have spun each wheel on a balancer and verified that it is 100% trued and straight. The four polished center caps were assembled using the correct "028" waffle plates. The 2 rear wheels have standard OEM BBS RS hex nuts, while the front wheels have my aftermarket half-height hex nuts. Please see the photos. New OEM BMW Roundel emblems were installed over used center chips. New OEM BBS stainless steel valve stems were installed. The 60 degree conical seat lug hole surfaces were reamed to make sure all the powdercoat was removed from these critical surfaces. These wheels are designed E23, E24, E31, E34, E32, and other older BMW with 5 lugs. They will fit an E30 M3. I have provided the specifications for these wheels. Please study them and understand how they relate to what will fit your car. They will fit only 5-lug BMW and other cars with a 5x120 bolt pattern. They will not fit any other make unless your car has special adapters. Please ask questions if you do not understand. Packaging. I ship wheels in pairs so this set will go out in 2 boxes. Each pair is double-boxed, with rigid foam material between each box.
