It has been freshly rewired with vintage style cloth wiring, the brass has been polished and the ORIGINAL PAINT has been cleaned and lacquered to seal it for its next lifetime. WOW! The brass socket cover is stamped with patent date of 1899. The fabric drum shade and fringe had disintegrated, so we have now made a custom handmade period correct replacement piece. The ribbed glass shade inside reflects the light nicely so that you can light up your dining table, bedroom, etc. There are no chips or cracks in the glass. The original paint on the fixture has some tiny areas of loss here and there, however these aren't very noticeable and add to the character of this true antique (see closeups).
