Description: This is a full size classical guitar, measured nut to low E string on the saddle, 25.25 inches. The modified (narrowed) nut is 2 inches as seen in the images. This is a 1960s (or earlier) Japanese made classical guitar. It is a strong tonal quality laminate construction not unlike a high-end Yamaha. The top, the sides and the back are all laminate. But don't let that fool you. This guitar is magical. The tonal quality is excellent. There is no binding on the neck or body. Being a fifty-plus year old guitar it is equipped with brass frets (that show zero wear). The action is quite good, low. The intonation is great. The buyer will be surprised how this guitar plays, so much so, charmed is the word I use. This guitar is charming for both those who hear it and play it. This guitar, like those made by Yamaha and Aria, is a Japanese-made guitar intended to compete with high quality instruments at a lower price. And as everyone knows, the Japanese guitars made years ago, are now considered quite favorably. This is a quality guitar in solid and admirable condition, even after fifty years use and modification. This guitar should last another fifty years, easy. This classical guitar has been modified. As seen in the pictures, this classical guitar has had a cutaway added to the body. It also has had the neck cut down in girth, and the nut narrowed and reconfigured to make playing it easier (for the non-classical guitar player). The nut measures just barely under two inches. Both these modifications were admirably achieved. This guitar is fun to play, easy on the fingers, and the upper register on the fret board has been put within easy reach. The Trump brand name is not well known. This one is a Trump TN24N made in Japan. There is little by way of information online concerning this Japanese brand. All I have found is that Trump guitars were made in Japan, and later in Korea. The Japanese manufactured Trump guitars were apparently made by Kawai Teisco in Japan, or, as I have been alternatively advised, by the Matsumoku factory in Japan. This guitar is certainly of significantly higher quality than the few I have seen pictured that were later manufactured in Korea. This guitar is well more than fifty years old, and it has been significantly modified, albeit, quite successfully. The bass strings boom on this guitar. The high strings sing. Tonal quality is excellent. Again, as a final note, this guitar is fifty-plus years old. It has endured all kinds of small injuries, and for the purist, it has some significant modification injuries too. It's not Trigger. But it clearly shows every bit of its fifty year life. These injuries are insignificant for an old guitar like this one. It still plays great. It is not worn out in any sense. Look closely at the pictures. Ask questions. Ask for more pictures, if you have questions. The guitar will come in the case shown in the last picture.
