Description: This is a great specimen that was sourced from an old rock and mineral collector who unfortunately passed away. This specific one was overlooked and had no takers or even anyone who observed it. I was fortunate enough to be the first one to pick it up and instantly I recognized what it was. Everyone I showed this rock to is surprised and it can be very fun to handle in front of people. I cannot take returns on this since it is a little fragile and I don't trust it to be put in the mail twice. Be sure to film the unboxing in case it was damaged in shipping and I will attempt to work with you. I will do my best to ensure it is properly packaged and handled. This pieces weighed in at 175 grams by itself, I took off 2 grams to account for any error. There is a crack about 3/4 inches long on one of the ends. This crack allows you to really see the flexibility. I am unsure which quarry this was orginally sourced from but the piece was bought in Colorado sometime in the 60s-90s. This rare and unique Flexible Quartzite - Itacolumite slab is a true gemstone collector's item. Measuring 9x2.5 inches and weighing 173 grams, this slab is a perfect addition to any collection. The stunning pattern and colors of this rock make it a must-have for anyone interested in geology and mineralogy. Ideal for cabbing and lapidary work, this Flexible Quartzite - Itacolumite slab is a great conversation starter. Its rarity and unique properties make it a valuable addition to any collection, whether you're a seasoned collector or just starting out. Don't miss out on the opportunity to own this beautiful piece of nature.
