Description: Up for sale: Rare 1985 Chris Mullin & Lou Carnesecca Autographs St. Johns Convocation Program Incredibly rare find of NYC basketball lore! In 1985 this is the team made it to the Final Four before losing to Georgetown. We would be curious to know how many of these brochures were printed, how many were signed and how many are still with us after almost 40 years! The team photo features NBA greats Chris Mullin, Mark Jackson and Bill Wennington together with the rest of the team around the legendary coach Lou Carnesecca. The autographs on the front feature Chris Mullin, Bill Wennington and Lou Carnesecca along with Mike Moses. The Carnesecca autograph looks to be in red felt tip pen, the Wennington auto in black felt pen and the Mullin autograph looks to be in black pen, all three autos are bold and clear with no visible skipping. It also looks like Bill Wennington signed his name as William Wennington, our research online could not find another example of Wennington signing his name as William which makes this signed brochure even more scarce. The brochure itself is in rougher shape, with areas of heavy foxing, curling, staining, discoloration and water staining. A professional restoration would address many of the imperfections, especially if mounted under glass and we leave that to the buyer.
