Beautifully light beige, textured, woven porcelain basket, with three unique shaped feet. Basket has a rope design along the edges. Inside sits a child, with a colorful row of capodimonte style roses, in shades of deep pinkish red, and yellows. Roses are handpainted. Some crazing in the glaze on the child, and the smooth surfaces of the basket. Stamped on the back, Handpainted in Italy. There is another impressed stamped, which I believe says Italy. From around the 1950's. Made out of porcelain, and is a heavy piece. More photos available. * Condition - ( Vintage Used ) - There is crazing in some of the glaze. A few little chips on the roses, but nothing that hurts it's appearance. One little tiny chip on the side of the child's nose. As mentioned, it's large enough to hold a rosary, or other jewelry.
