Pauline Theology booklet published by George Storrs 1854 Watchtower related

Description: Here is the rare Pauline Theology or the Christian Doctrine of Future Punishment as Taught in the Epistles of Paul booklet by H. L. Hastings and according to the Title page it was published by George Storrs and the Bible Examiner in 1854 and is the Third edition. What is amazing is that this rare booklet was sold by George Storrs in the January 15, 1855 Bible Examiner page 21. I am showing the page from the Bible Examiner where George Storrs speaks highly of this booklet and makes it available from the Office of the Bible Examiner. Interestingly this is the actual rare edition of the Pauline Theology booklet that George Storrs and the Bible Examiner actually published so George Storrs must have really thought very highly of this booklet by Hastings. This is an amazing connection between H. L. Hastings and George Storrs. As you know Hastings also wrote The Three Worlds tract and apparently that tract influenced Barbour and Brother Russell when the book The Three Worlds was written. This eighty-four page booklet puts up a strong Bible based argument against eternal torment of the dead! George Storrs did not offer many books by third parties for sale in his Bible Examiner magazine but it is easy to see why he chose this booklet to help his readers see that the doctrine of eternal punishment of the wicked is a false doctrine and not Bible based. It is interesting that both George Storrs and Charles Taze Russell highly valued a few of the publications by H. L. Hastings. It is also interesting to note that on the back cover of the Pauline Theology booklet there is an advertisement for The Three Worlds booklet by H. L. Hastings! I recently discovered that George Storrs published an article by H. L. Hastings entitled Immortality on the front of the March 1, 1854 Bible Examiner! Here are some of the references that I could find about H. L. Hastings in the Watchtower publications: Brother Russell published an article by H. L. Hastings in the WT Reprints Volume 1 on page 468 and it also appeared in the April 1883 Watchtower on page 4. Brother Russell published an article by H. L. Hastings in the WT Reprints Volume 1 on page 516 and it also appeared in the August 1883 Watchtower on page 3. Brother Russell mentions Hastings in WT Reprints Volume 2 page 1048 reprinting an article by H.L. Hastings in 1888 and on page 1082 and mentions him by name in Vol 2 page 1182. Brother Russell included a poem or a song by Hastings in the early songbook entitled "Poems and Hymns of Dawn" see WT Reprint Vol 2 P. 1239 Brother Russell published a poem by H. L. Hastings in WT Reprints Vol 3 P. 2013 entitled "Oh Heart Be Strong" Brother Russell published an article by H. L. Hastings in WT Reprints Vol 3 P. 2066 and 2067 entitled "Unauthorized Workers" Brother Russell appears to favorably quote H. L. Hastings in WT Reprints Vol 3 p. 2171 in the June 15, 1897 Zion’s Watch Tower. Brother Russell appears to favorably quote H. L. Hastings in WT Reprints Vol 3 p. 2466 in the May 1, 1899 Zion’s Watch Tower. --- This booklet is in VERY NICE condition. There is some ageing and wear to the covers and pages but not much.
