Description: Ornate pair of vintage or antique lamps featuring finely detailed bronze plated spelter reproductions of renowned 19th-century French Orientalism sculptures: "Arabe En Marche" (Arab on the Move) or Arab Bedouin Man by Emile Pinedo - 1889 "Porteur d'eau Tunisien" (Tunisian Water Carrier) cast by Pinedo from a model by Jean-Didier Debut (father of Marcel Debut) - 1890 There is no record of these lamps anywhere online, making them rare and unique. My personal belief is that the statues are high quality French reproductions from the late 19th or early 20th century which were later fashioned into lamps using US made Leviton components -- though I can not be certain! There are no apparent signatures, markings, or branding on statues. Statues are both around 14" tall with base and lamps are 24" in total. Statues are richly patinated with normal wear. Both lamps are tested to work, though rewiring is highly recommended only due to their age. (lightbulb not included - only used to show functionality)
