Description: The original manufacturer company stickers have been removed from the base of both bookends. Please note that one cat bookend is slightly taller than the other one (one stands 8 3/8 inches while other stands 8 1/4 inches). One of the cats has a line of small white spots on and around its nose. There are several small white spots on the black painted portions. Both bookends also have a few small black spots on them as well in the lighter painted areas. Both have some of the gold pain on their bases wearing away and cracking in some areas. These bookends are both hollow and very lightweight but have an opening (with plugs) underneath the padded base (which peels back) for sand to be poured in so that they can be weighted for “safer” display against the weight of books (use care, caution and common sense if you choose to fill them due to inherent fragility of items). Some of the padding underneath has torn away, most noticeably on one of them.
