Description: Pair of William Adams The Sower Red Transferware Waste Bowls Circa 1830 - 1840s Pair of red transferware pearlware waste bowls. Both bowls are decorated in the Sower pattern by William Adams, but have different forms. Unmarked. Circa 1830 - 1840s. The bowl with the scalloped edge has a crack extending from the rim to the bottom of the bowl above the foot rim. The crack runs partially around the bottom and across the base. The other bowl has two tight cracks extending off the edge approximately 1 1/4" long. There is an associated small chip to the edge that has been repaired. The scalloped edge bowl measures approximately 6 1/8 inches wide x 3 1/8 inches tall. The other bowl measures approximately 6 1/2 inches wide x 3 1/4 inches tall. These are antiques and may have small in manufacture defects that do not affect the display of the pieces. Q
