Description: A good pair of original drawings in pen and ink by French/Corsican artist Countess Jacqueline Beltikhine (1927-2015). The drawings are lovely depictions of elegantly gowned women, they most likely date to the 1950s or 60s. Each sheet measures approx. 6 1/2 x 9 5/8 inches and are hand signed in the lower right by the artist. Paper is mildly age toned and has some handling creases, otherwise in excellent condition. Comtesse Jacqueline Beltikhine d'Ortoli (1927-2015) was a French painter and sculptor. She studied under the painter Jules Cavaillès (1901-1977) and her work is most associated with the artist's group Les Peintres De La Réalité Poétique. She was founder of the Academy of Painting and Sculpture of Nice and the Riviera. She passed away in 2015 in her native Corsica.
