It is said the 7 layer started beforeColumbus set sail in 1490. The Venetians switched to the 6 layer sometime after 1700. Very old Treasures and you can feel the History by the patina, Dark Brick layer and the transparent layers. It is amazing these survived at all. This was a highly sough after bead and was found in many North America's earliest village sites.
