New Zealand Pinus radiata grown produces a much thicker, harder and structurally sound material ideal for potting and repotting that breaks down much slower than pine bark grown in other localities. Orchiata bark is also allowed to age naturally which results in an even stronger nugget which does not break down as fast as regular bark, most of which is processed while still “wet” Orchiata is also coated with Dolomite, which is a natural mineral that contains calcium and magnesium.
