Description: Up for sale is Volume 3 only of the Nouvelle edition of Ouvres de Moliere published in 1734 in Paris. Numerous engravings. Published Avec Privilege Du Roy. Original, 1734 edition. Contains antique bookplate of M. Jean Baptiste Phillipe. Signature of previous owner Marianna de Haraft. First edition of this illustrated edition. Book is in Good - overall condition. Unfortunately it lacks the front half and title pages. Some staining and spotting throughout although nothing major in any one place. A couple of pages became loose / stick out and have more heavy damage to edge. Chips, small tears and dings to edges of pages. Wear. Other dings here and there. Not perfect but pretty nice, Chipping to spine and some loss top and bottom. Boards have scratches, wear etc.. Very scarce book. This version considered a masterpiece of publishing with the illustrations. Please note we do have two other volumes from this set also for sale.
