Description: This rare and exciting record is actually a piece of history! It's a thick, shellac record that came inside a colorful paper, picture sleeve and the record had 2 Christmas songs sung by two popular crooners of the 40's and 50's, Gene Autry and Rosemary Clooney. More than a musical treasure, it's a great, historical treasure of a much simpler time, released in 1952 just 7 years after World War II ended. The paper picture sleeve is in Very Good Plus (VG+) condition as both the front and back look very much like they did when this record was released with only very slight fraying on the top. The color has retained its vibrance and there are no folds or holes anywhere. The record isn't in such excellent condition however. We're calling it to be in Very Good (VG) condition as 1 side has many scratches on it. It will still play if you are able to play a 78 rpm but will likely add surface noise, pops, ticks or other extra sound especially to the "bad" side as one side definitely has more scratches than the other. The cleaner side will sound better, possibly even very good but we don't have a way to play 78 rpm's and are only looking at the shellac's condition. We believe this record is almost as valuable for its historical value as for its musical value, but you may want to buy it to hear actor George Clooney's, Aunt Rosemary sing! She had a smooth, melodic, beautiful voice that made her a very popular crooner. Either way, it's a fun record to pull out at Christmas gatherings for friends and family to see (and play the good side!) a 78 rpm Christmas record from 1952!
