Description: E-Torque is the sole importer of this gearbox from the UK. It is based upon the Ford MT-X75 gearbox and has been used in classic Jaguar cars for the past 15 years. This is similar to the gearbox that Eagle uses in its most expensive cars. According to their director, they have been reliable and are trustworthy. The gear ratios are 1st 3.31:12nd 2.08:13rd 1.36:14th 1:15th .763:1Rev 3.26:1 According to Wikipedia, these gearboxes feature synchromesh even in reverse! Comparing these ratios to the original Jaguar close ratio 4-speed gearbox would indicate that the correct rear end ratio for this gearbox would be 3.07:1. Higher ratio differential gears (i.e. 3.54:1) will tend to make 1st gear less useful. Gearboxes for different applications require different drive shafts.
