Brought to rail-yards in 1941, the 2-6-6-6 was featured in two classes the "Allegheny" and Blue Ridge" -- both of which were some of the most powerful models ever introduced up that point setting new heights for both weight and speed. Both classes were named after the mountain range they traversed, and were often used for hauling coal around and throughout the mountains.
