It is beautifully decorated with images of birds, florals, flourishes and more, from the handle to the pedestal base. Mrs. Edna is not sure if this item is a silver plate or something more like a coin or quadruple plate. It is not marked, but it is heavy for its size. There is a coin shaped medallion on the bottom that reads: Middletown Plate Co. Middletown, Conn 1730 This item is in good or better pre-owned antique vintage condition. There are signs of wear from age, use and storage, which includes but is not limited to scuff/scratch marks, discolored spots and a few dents / dings / indents and nicks in the metal.
