Description: ***** MARILYN MONROE 1961 LEAVING POLYCLINIC HOSPITAL PUBLISHED BY PARIS-MATCH ***** Description : On July 11,1961 Marilyn Monroe was captured on film being wheeled out from the Polyclinic Hospital after a gallbladder surgery. She was quickly surrounded and accosted by multiple reporters and photographers alike and needed to be escorted by a dozen police officers and helped out by the Hospital security team to be able to reach her waiting limousine, thousands of fans were waiting to catch a glimpse of the Mega Star. This time period photo was taken by a Paris-Match photographer and was published in the French magazine Paris-Match #641. Reverse shows: a vintage time period credit stamp from IMS 17 JUL 1961 and multiple Paris-Match Marie-Claire fading blue ink credit stamp. *Impossible to find original photo of Marilyn Monroe coming right out of the doors. From one of the first in line photographers indeed, and we believe this to be a photo from photographer Paul Slade, but cannot confirm, no credit stamps present.
